Food Search Engine Design

Project Overview

I was lucky to take part in a Code First Girls Introduction to Python course. Part of the final project was to create a program to search for recipes based on ingredients. My team and I were inspired by current circumstances and decided to create a program where users can input the ingredients they have at hand & requirements, they will in return get a selection of recipes.

The Look

Due to a surge in panic buying many were left with a limited range of food items that would need a lot of creativity to create meals.

Research showed many were feeling unenthusiastic and confused during this time, which could make it hard to come up with new recipes for meals. Many didn’t want to spend ages browsing online and wanted a quick solution.

The project outcome was a functioning search program that provided users with based with useful results based on what ever ingredients they search for. It’s easy to use and user friendly.
